I chose the third option. I think its possible, but what could they have to gain? If any aliens came here and did stuff as an experiment, theyre likely dead, unless they have an incredibly long life span. Also, if aliens were responsible for stuff here on Earth, why not visit once in a while? Share some of their cosminc knowledge and what not.
